Pape SOE description

Ontario Line will bring 15.6 kilometers of much-needed subway service to Toronto to make it faster and easier for hundreds of thousands of people to get where they need to be each day. This is a stand-alone rapid transit line that will connect the Ontario Science Centre to Exhibition/Ontario Place. Over half of the route is planned to run underground through new tunnels, with the remainder running along elevated and at-grade rail corridor sections of track. The line will stretch across the city, from the Ontario Science Centre in the northeast to Exhibition/Ontario Place in the southwest with 15 stations, including six interchange stations, and over 40 connections to GO train lines and existing subway, streetcar and bus lines.

As part of the Pape Segment Works, Metrolinx has planned the scope of Pape Segment Support of Excavation (SOE) works consists of temporary activities for the shaft SOE, demolition of properties, installation of slurry walls, installation and monitoring of geotechnical instrumentation, jet grouting required for the future Ontario Line Pape Station, which is an interchange station with the existing Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) Line 2.This is an Advanced Works contract that will directly contribute to the success of the entire Pape segment (the “Project”).

PM ERA provides scheduling services to the general contractor. Key services include:

  • Review and comment on the bid and interim baseline schedule
  • Develop baseline schedule in compliance with contract requirements and industry best practices
  • Represent the general contractor in the scheduling review meetings with the client.
